Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with project teams to ensure bids are competitive and profitable. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiations, with a focus on electrical and construction site experience. The Estimator will play a vital role in project planning and cost control, contributing to the successful execution of our projects.

*Must have Aerial and Underground Estimation experience*

Pay range $90,000-$120,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive estimates
• Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software for accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Conduct negotiations with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
• Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project goals
• Assist in contract review and development to ensure clarity of scope and pricing
• Monitor project costs throughout construction to maintain budget compliance
• Support bid preparation processes, including proposal documentation and presentation

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating within electrical construction projects
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, HeavyBid, NEC standards, and construction management software
• Strong knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles
• Excellent negotiation skills with vendors and subcontractors
• Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis accurately
• Electrical experience or background is highly desirable
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and clients
• Knowledge of cost control strategies and pricing techniques in the construction industry
• Must have Aerial and Underground Estimation experience*
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical, or related field is preferred but not required
